Last Week for Glass Turkey Tickets

Good Afternoon!

The Glass Turkey draw is occurring this Friday June 24th, so if you haven’t purchased your tickets for the draw you still have a few days to do so.

Please remember that Expensive Taste KW is supporting the KW Cancer Society by donating half of the proceeds from ticket sales to this very worthwhile cause.

The winner will be drawn at our regular club meeting this Friday and will be contacted immediately following the draw to be informed of the win. Grand Prize is a texas mickey of whisky of the winners choosing.

Let’s make this the best year ever for Glass Turkey and get the final push on for ticket sales.

I would like to personally thank all of those who have purchased their tickets already! We appreciate your support.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hi all,

I just wanted to send a quick note from your President wishing everyone a Merry Christmas (yes I said Merry Christmas to all you politically correct people out there that say Happy Holidays) and a very Happy New Year as well.  I personally can’t wait for the 8 year anniversary party scheduled for January 30th at Nicks place where we will most definetly taste our most expensive bottle ever which will also end up being our 100th taster!!

Congratulations to all members for making it this far, cheers to many more to come.

I look forward to the coming year with guided tastings scheduled and our regular special events of the golf tournament, camping, cook-off, and the annual Halloween bash still in the fold.

Without dedicated members this club would not be what it is today so a huge Thank You to my Eboard for all of their hard work this year and to everyone else who may have played a role in the success of the club this past year.

And on a side note the following people still owe money from the bottle auction which must be submitted to the Treasurer on or before January 1st, 2016. Rico -$45, Tamara -$50, Josh C -$90, Chad -$2, and Ryan B -$112.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Your President,

Adam Buchholtz

GlenDronach 18

GlenDronach 18 Year Old Tawny Port Finish

Colour:
The colour is almost caramel in appearance due to the finish in the port cask

NGlenDronach18ose:
The nose is fruity and fudgy with hints of pear, cherry, and caramel fudge coupled with spice notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Taste:
The fruit shines through with notes of cherry, pear, and roasted apple and combines with caramel, making the taste quite sweet and syrupy with a wisp of smoke to be had.  The flavor lingers on the tongue before releasing into a slow dry finish.

Overall:
I would rate this as a 7.5/10, quite a good scotch, but maybe not worthy of adding to a personal collection.
